Welcome to the Pig Pen!
I have listed this 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55 on behalf of the owner. I’ve had the truck in my possession for the past few months. She’s a very rust free example compared to most. The sheet metal is nice and not full of bondo.
The previous owners worked on improving her for years including upgrades to a 2F engine and 4-speed transmission. The current owner has invested a considerable amount to improve her further. New interior, headliner, rework the heater, many new parts and several other improvements including interior and exterior paint work. The brand new 33×10.5×15 BFG’s have around 50 miles on them.
I had the Weber carb rebuilt, set the valves and performed a tune up. I also had the emergency brake repaired as it would not hold the truck.
There are a few items left to sort out. The new door cards are nice but the interior door handles need to be installed. They are included with the truck as are the interior window felts for the four doors.
The drum brakes will stop the truck. I had a shop look the brakes over and was told they just required adjusting which was done but I suspect the stopping power could still be improved.
The owner purchased this truck as a potential donor for an FJ55 overland rig he is building for an epic journey. After looking her over carefully, he felt she was just too nice to be used for a donor.
Take a look at the photos, video’s and read the description. Ask questions and enjoy the auction.
