Here's a US Spec numbers matching California smog exempt 1968 Land Cruiser FJ40. She spent her life in CA and is now located in Wilmington NC. This is certainly one of the most stock and unmolested examples you will find.
The truck was restored in 2021 by an experienced Land Cruiser collector. After complete disassembly, the frame and OEM wheels were media blasted and powder coated. The engine was totally rebuilt by an award winning machine shop and the carburetor was sent to Mark's Off Road for rebuilding.
The rust free body was painted in it's original Spring Green (T1028.) Every part was examined and refurbished or replaced before being fully reassembled. All OEM components were used where available. Exterior fasteners are stainless steel. Up front you will find a vintage Ramsey PTO winch which was dealer installed.
The front knuckles were rebuilt by Cruiser Outfitters. All brake and clutch components have been replaced, transmission and transfer case inspected and serviced. The steering consists of new tie rod ends along with a rebuilt center arm. The steering gear box was sent to West Texas Off-Road for rebuild.
The truck has full hardtop. All glass is in excellent condition. All body emblems are new. The truck rides on BFG 310x10.50x15 All Terrain tires in excellent condition.
The interior features new upholstery from Cruiser Corps. A new headliner was installed. Everythiing is in excellent working condition including the very rare early Toyota AM Radio.
