This 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 came out of California. She was purchased from her original owner by a young man who buys and sells. He bought her to sell her and he sold her to me! I'm not usually interested in "projects" but this unmolested example spoke to me.
Last tagged in 2002, the truck has been sitting for two decades. The working odometer shows just a shade over 50K miles. The body is in beautiful condition wearing most of her original paint. The only rust appears to be the drivers side floor and some in the cargo area where rain water likely found it's way in over the past two decades. The truck is a time capsule. Inside I found a wedding invitation from 1986 and a bag full of brochures from National Parks and other attractions near SW Colorado and Utah. All were dated 1990 and undoubtedly collected during a family vacation judging from the envelope of vacation pictures that accompanied the brochures. The photos in the gallery below were taken September 7th, the day the truck arrived in Iowa.
Looking forward to making some mechanical improvements where needed. We'll start with the brakes. :-)

Do you plan to sell? Or keep?
