Occasionally I come across an original Land Cruiser that has been really well cared for. This 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 has spent her 22 years in Phoenix and 15 years in TX. She was taken out of the game early and has accumulated just 12,000 miles in the last 13 years. This FJ60 runs beautifully. She quiet, smooth and one of the best driving wagons I've had pleasure to own and I've owned many.

 

She's still wearing most of her original paint and is finished in Beige Metallic over gold/brown cloth with gleaming chrome-finished 15″ wheels. She's wears her history with charm and while her clear coat is a little worn in some areas from the Arizona sun, there is NO rust!

 

She's powered by her original 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case with manually-locking front hubs. Features include power steering, tilt wheel, air conditioning, front and rear heaters, power assist front disc brakes, hand throttle, rear wiper, headlight washers, front tow hook, locking fuel door and an aftermarket Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo. She was acquired by the owner in 2008 and currently has 165k miles.  Other goodies include manufacturer’s literature, two keys, recent service records, factory tool kit,  jack, a clean Carfax report, and a clear Texas title.

The truck is finished in Metallic Beige (4E8) and features chrome bumpers and side trim, mud-flaps, and a split tailgate.

​

Chrome-finished 15″ wheels are wrapped in new 31×10.50″ Pathfinder All-Terrain tires, and a spare wheel and tire are mounted to the underside of the truck. Aisin manually locking hubs are fitted up front, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features seats trimmed in the original striped brown and gold cloth, matching door panels, and brown carpeting protected for years with Specter Off Road fitted mats.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 4k-rpm redline, an 85-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 165k miles, 20k of which were added by the previous owner.

​

Power steering pump was replaced in March 2022. An owner’s manual is included in the sale along with two keys, a tool kit, a jack, jack rod, recent service records, and spare parts as shown in the gallery.
